Volunteer Opportunities

Do you speak a language other than English?

The Westlock Library Adult Literacy Program is looking for volunteer tutors in the following areas:

-          to assist adult English Language Learners

-          to assist adults with improving their reading, writing and math skills

Volunteer tutors help newcomers establish meaningful social connections, grow their social and professional networks, as well as develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to overcome the difficulties that come with language barriers.

Tutoring can be a great way to volunteer your time by giving back to your community and making a real difference in someone’s life.

Training, ongoing support and resources will be provided.  A teaching background is an asset but not required.
