Bylaw Enforcement

Town of Westlock Community Peace & Bylaw Enforcement Officers

The Community Peace Officers are provincially appointed through the Alberta Solicitor General. The Town employs Community Peace Officers to handle a variety of situations and concerns that arise; these officers are responsible for enforcing bylaws, investigating complaints, and patrolling the community. 

Westlock County Peace & Bylaw Enforcement Officers

Westlock County's Peace Officers are appointed by Alberta Justice under the provisions of the Police Act to enforce certain Provincial statutes. To enhance this service, Westlock County has established partnerships with other agencies including the RCMP and Alberta Transportation; these officers are also responsible for the enforcement of County Bylaws.
