Public Computers & Internet Use

Each of our libraries have computers for public use. We ask users to limit themselves to one hour per day unless they are working on job search or course work for educational purposes.

All Workstations are equipped with Microsoft Office and are networked to a central printer (printing fees apply). Two computers at Westlock Library are equipped with document scanners.

Computers may be booked on a first-come basis up to a maximum of 2 hours. Call us ahead of time to book a computer: 780-349-3060.

Free Wireless access is available 24-7. Use your TRAC card number and PIN to log on. For non-library card holders, ask the library staff for a temporary log-in number and password to access free Wi-Fi service.

Computer & Tech Assistance

Library staff will answer questions and offer assistance with our public computers. We will do our best to help with tech-related questions; however, we have designated personnel and regularly scheduled times to provide more advanced help sessions:

  • Tech Savvy: We offer regularly scheduled one-on-one tech-help sessions on Tuesdays from 12 noon - 3 pm at Westlock Library and Wednesdays from 10 am - 2 pm at Fawcett Library.
  • Résumé & Job Search Help: We host job-search help sessions as an outreach service provided by Alberta Works on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm. Come to the Westlock Library during these scheduled sessions if you need help searching government websites, file EI claims, prepare resumes & cover letters, or launch job searches.

Comprehensive computer courses are avaiable through Westlock's Adult Learning Phone: 780-349-5253 or
